The Broadway is on Letterboxd!
What is Letterboxd?
Letterboxd is a global social network for grass-roots film discussion and discovery. For everyone with a passion for cinema, Letterboxd is where you can keep a diary of the films that you see, highlight your favourites, leave ratings and reviews, create watchlists and lists of your favourite genres, and engage with actors, directors, and real-world cinemas. Including now, the Broadway.

Why Letterboxd?
Because this is where film will live for us before we throw open the doors of our beloved cinema. It’s where memories will be shared, discoveries made, and where the past and present of cinema will meet in the most human way possible. For a project rooted in restoration, community, and the joy of bringing films back to life, there’s no better place to begin building our audience and our identity.
For the love of film.
We’ll be sharing the films that inspire us, the restorations that move us, and the stories that guide our vision for the Broadway. We’ll also be building curated watchlists across genres, actors, directors, themes, and eras—maps for anyone who wants to explore cinema more deeply, whether they’re seasoned cinephiles or just beginning their journey. Expect a blend of Ayrshire warmth, archival curiosity, and a little cinephile mischief as we chart the films that define who we are and who we hope to become.
For the love of the Broadway.
We’ll be exploring the history of our original cinema, celebrating the craft of restoration, and inviting you to help imagine what our first seasons might look like. We'll be exploring the vast array of films available, across all countries, to find the best stories from around the world. Whether you’re from Prestwick, elsewhere in Scotland, or part of the global community of film lovers who care about keeping cinema’s heritage alive, we’re glad you’re here. This is the beginning of a long conversation, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
