It’s time for our periodic nerd-fest into the weird and whacky world of Broadway projection, and we start with a Wendy House? Not only is the Broadway Scotland’s largest cinema auditorium, but it has two projection rooms! We have the original projection room high up above the balcony, but we also have what we affectionately call ‘the projection Wendy House’ located on the stalls floor.

Wonderful news! We are thrilled to finally announce the formation of Prestwick Youth Film Society, the appointment of our Academy Board, and our exciting collaboration with Ayrshire Film Company as our official media partner.

We have been awarded £15,000 to continue the Broadway's architectural development with our chosen architects at Burrell Foley Fischer, and commission a professional measured survey of the building in a major step towards future restoration!

We would like to express our warmest thanks to Elaine Harrigan, headteacher at Prestwick Academy, and send our very best wishes for retirement! Elaine has been presented with a Lifetime Membership award for her exceptional services to the Broadway!

To celebrate the Broadway's 90th in style and launch our project into the future, we were delighted to reveal our new branding, with our camel taking its rightful place at the forefront of our image! The brand has been developed in-house by professional graphic designers and executive advisors to the project, Katie and Liam Young, with our refreshed sonic brand composed by our very own Calum Upton.

With the Broadway's stage revealed once more, the next major step duly arrived, as Ayrshire's new largest cinema screen was raised for the first time. The Broadway's first new screen since 1956 brings some Ayrshire history with it too as the original cinema screen of the fondly remembered Magnum Leisure Centre in Irvine!

The courts have been squashed. It's official. The Broadway's auditorium has been revealed once more, for the first time in almost 50 years. We now have the largest cinema auditorium in Scotland under community ownership in Prestwick. We're still pinching ourselves.
