Architectural Design Workshops Held with Burrell Foley Fischer

On 30th January, the Broadway co-hosted an Architectural Design Workshop for Prestwick Academy's design and technology department with our lead architect, Faye Davies of Burrell Foley Fischer!

Faye is the managing director of BFF, having worked on projects such as Campbeltown Picture House, York Guildhall, and the Great Yarmouth Winter Gardens. Together with her team at BFF, she will lead the Broadway's restoration in the years to come, and this workshop was a wonderful introduction for the pupils of Prestwick Academy to architecture and the potential for the Broadway's future.

Three sessions were held across a full day, with all National 5 and Higher D&T pupils taking part to construct both exterior and interior models of what the Broadway could look like in the future. The results were incredibly inspiring and we are beyond grateful for the passion and enthusiasm of all participants, with the winners receiving certificates from Faye and our team.

We would like to thank Jane, Amanda, and Stephanie of the D&T department for their enthusiasm for making the event happen, and a very special thank you to Faye, who travelled to and from England for the day to deliver the event.

Our connections at Prestwick Academy continue to grow and evolve and we are looking forward to sharing more developments in the near future, and to continue working with Faye to bring the Broadway back to life!
